Honouring Our Laundry Ladies

March 20, 2019

Two local Seaford ladies, Laura Giles and Shirley Penry, have been honoured with a commemorative ‘blue plaque’ at the opening of the new laundry facilities here at Clifden House.

The plaque was erected to officially recognise their dedication and commitment to everyone at Clifden House Dementia Care Centre in Seaford.

Nial Joyce of Clifden House, said: “Laura and Shirley are dedicated, hard working ladies. They have been with us for many years and we all want to show our great appreciation for their hard work that always takes place ‘behind the scenes’ of our busy community at Clifden House. We thought the best way to honour them into the future was a blue plaque, for the celebrities they are!”
